biography:
Prof
Abdul Majid won the CTNS Science and Religion Award in 2001 on his
course Islam and Science on evolution and Creation and also development
course award on the same course in 2002.Prof. Majid also won five
presidential awards on his different research articles (in Urdu) from
1986 to 2004. He is an Associate Editor of bi-annual journal of Hazara
Society For Science-Religion Dialogue (HSSRD). and the author of two
books on Islam & Science ; and Islam & the problems of Modern
Era & their solution Professor Majid is the founder chairperson
of HSSRD for the last three years. The Society had the honor of winning
three consecutive supplemental grant awards from Metanexus Institute
under the Local Society Initiative Program for its creative programs
for the promotion of science-religion dialogue in Pakistan.
