biography:
Dr. Pavlenko performs his scientific and research activity at the
Department of Philosophy of Science at the Institute of Philosophy
at the Russian Academy of Sciences. After his Postgraduate studies
at the Philosophical Faculty of Moscow State University, Pavlenko
defended his Thesis “Tendencies of evolution in modern cosmology”
(1989). All his further activity was connected with the Institute
of Philosophy. The study of Ancient Greek in “Greco-Latin Cabinet”
allowed him to consider the development of cosmological knowledge
in historical perspective. The preparation and defense of his Ph.D
Thesis “Reconstruction of Epistemological Turn in modern Cosmology”
(1999) was the result of that research.
