Short biography:

Prof. Radu Constantinescu is Vice-rector of the University of Craiova, responsible for the supervision of the research activities. He acted, on behalf of his institution, as local coordinator in many European Programmes, including: the EMSPS - a mobility programme for students in physics that was initiated by the European Physical Society; the EUPEN- an inter-universitarian European network; the TEMPUS Project M-JEP 0973/95 which involved six Romanian Universities and twelve institutes from EU countries. As director of CDST, he also coordinated two programmes initiated by CTNS and by Templeton Foundation. Presently he is the SOCRATES/ERASMUS coordinator for the same university.
